FLOW INTO
THE WORLD OF MOVEMENT ARTS
WITH ATA

MOVEMENT ARTS TRAINING WITH ATA
What we teach.
We train to visualize ways in which the body can move and eventually realize those movements using the space around us.
It gives us the freedom to break away from the notion of 'correct and wrong styles' and discover a space where our artistic expression is not restricted by the perceived norms of genres and disciplines.
We wish to share this practice with others who would like to nurture their creative instincts and discover their unique expressions.
Our method.
Through body conditioning and improvisation
techniques, we aim to help you discover your unique artistic expression, overcome creative blocks, and develop your own movements.
We believe in providing a non-judgmental space that encourages you to explore, research, and innovate in movement arts (or any other creative pursuit for that matter!)
ATA movement classes are designed to help you delve into the world of movement arts to reach your personal movement goals: it can be to stay fit, bust some stress, or seek a profession in movement arts!

ESSENCE OF INDIAN CLASSICAL

Have you always been curious about Indian Classical Dances?
Are you a practitioner of Indian Classical Dances and wish to delve deeper into your practice and explore improvisations?

Then these classes, carefully crafted by Pritha with inspiration from her own training in Bharatanatyam, are for you!
Is this for you?

Structure
Pritha's movement practice started with her training in Bharatanatyam which is one of the several recognized Indian Classical Dances.
Like most artistic practices, exploring any Indian Classical Dance requires disciplined time and effort. However, to do so efficiently may seem like a herculean task!
Pritha has designed these classes as road maps to help you understand and imbibe the essence of Indian Classical Dances so that you can start your own explorations.

Currently, we focus on only Bharatanatyam with general introduction to other Indian Classical Dance forms.
The classes will delve into
1. History and theory of the practice
2. Music and rhythmic expressions
3. Movement vocabulary and conditioning
4. Tools and techniques of improvisations
5. Methods of storytelling
6. Influence of contemporary practices on evolution of the form
